The bay Area bruisers Skinlab back after a 3 year hiatus and this time their in for the kill. Formed is 1994 by Singer/bassist Steev Esquivel and former guitarist Mike Roberts and drummer paul Hopkins. Skinlab quickly began making a name for itself in the Bay Area music scene, whick brought attention from Machine Head's Robb Flynn who would go on to help the band secure it's first record deal and their first sold out European tour and appearance on 1997 Dynamo Open air, which launched the band into a fury of tours both European and state side in support of the debut album Bound Gagged and Blindfolded. With the departure of Roberts in 1998 the band quickly recruted guitarists Scott Seargant(Killing Culture)and Snake(Skrew)and went into writting mode which led to the Eyesore E.P to help introduce the new line up with a limited edition release of only 5000 copies which to this day remains a cult classic with fans worldwide In 2000 the band entered El Paso's Village studio with returning producer Andy Sneap to record Disembody:The new flesh, which also went on to become an underground favorite for die hard metal fans around the globe.18 months of touring playing show with every bands from Exodus,S.O.D,Fear Factory,Deftones,Coal Chamber to Deicide,Entombed Napalm Death which saw the band again with another appearance on the main stage Of 1999 Dynamo Festival. In 2003 Skinlab parted with guitarist Scott Seargant introducing Glen Telford to the line up just as The Revolting Room was recorded, which to some was the high point of the bands recording collection. Showing the band move in more of a Heavy Melodic approach not only in writting But production as the band as the band worked with Producer Steve Evetts and bringing in Andy Sneap to round out the ulitmate mix of metal the the bands fans have learned to love. The Revolting Room touring cycle saw the band sharing the stage with acts as Superjoint Ritual,Arche Enemy,Soil,InFlames playing stages from Brisbane To London oakland to El Paso, making friends and new fans by the thousands. After a successful run of dates on the JagerMusic/Slayer Tour the band decided to take a break and explore other musical adventures After a 4 year hiatus Skinlab returned with a breif tour of the US before heading back in the studio to write the first studio album in 5 years, with new guitarist Julian Peach formerly of December who has recently been chosen to replace Glen Telford as full time member of the band. Skinlab will enter Trident Studio Nov/December w/Juan Urteaga(Skinlab,Exodus,Vile)to begin recording the first full length album for Crash Music due feb 2008
